Novar renamed as Honeywell Electrical Devices & Systems.

Novar India, a leading provider of switches and cable management systems, today announced that its Management and Board of Directors has approved a change in name of the company to Honeywell Electrical Devices and Systems India Limited. This is a strategic move in line with the transition planned for the business unit, in order to further consolidate the company within the Honeywell fold globally. However the company would continue to market its products under the brand name “MK”.

Novar India, was acquired by Honeywell International in the year 2004. Honeywell International added this business to the company’s diverse portfolio in order to further strengthen their Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) division. Novar’s industry strengths, business presence and employees have significantly contributed to Honeywell International’s ACS division since the completion of the acquisition. This name change signifies the successful transition of the company into a Honeywell business unit, over the years.

On this occasion, Mr. Sadanand Teje, Managing Director, Honeywell Electrical Devices and Systems India Limited said, “The name change to Honeywell Electrical Devices and Systems India Limited signifies our successful transition in becoming a Honeywell business unit. The new name in addition to representing the group we belong to, clearly defines the business we are in. We are confident of building on a strong market position that our brand enjoys and further extend our presence in India under the new business name.”

The change in name is effective immediately and will not affect the day-to-day operations of the company.
